3D Animation of a wall clock for iOS 9.3 devices

Application iOS 9.3 Skeleton Clock 13

This apps features a popular wall clock. The application is a rework from a previous build. This clock gets the time sync from your iOS device. It is a 3D animation for the friends and enthusiast of mechanical clocks. All parts in this 3D animation are replication its mechanical counterpart.

The new design has multiple added features. There is a clock history text view. The view can be called at any time by a "Swipe Down" gesture anywhere on the screen. The top portion of this scrollable text view provides simple user interface instructions. Any overlay or extra feature can be reset by touching the reset button at to top center of the screen.

set the hour and minute for the alarm clock

Screen Shoots of the iOS Application top left to right

1. Help and History text in a scroll down window.
2. Current few of the Moon from a public domain live observatory (WiFi required)
3. Stop watch mode controlled by Start, Stop and reset buttons
4. Hour and Minute time Picker to set Hour and minute alarm clock

 New user interface Features:

Swipe right to swipe left anywhere on the screen allows the user to move the camera around the wall clock and view all features of the clock work from all sides.

iOS 9.3 new swipe gesture from the right will call the current live Moon Image from a live connection to a public domain Observatory

The user can set an alarm clock time by hours and minutes

There is a start and stop button below the current alarm hour minute display. The start button will start the Digital Stop Watch and an animated stop watch cycle on the Clock Dial.
the stop button will display ell apes time on the shared digital time display at the top left hand of the screen. Pressing the reset button will return day of the week and time digital display and reset the clock dial to current time.

The application is written with Swift Programming Language on Xcode 7.3. The rework also request "PreferesOpenGL" for iOS devices not Metal compatible.

In the Text View The user can access and read about the history of Pendulum Clocks

Example Reading:

Escapment and Pendulum Clock History
-------------------------------------

The accuracy of a mechanical clock is dependent on the accuracy of the timing device. If this is a pendulum, then the period of swing of the pendulum determines the accuracy. If the pendulum rod is made of metal it will expend and contract with heat, shortening or lengthening the the pendulum; this changes the time taken for a swing. Special alloys are used in expensive pendulum-based clocks to minimize this distortion. The degrees of arc which a pendulum may swing varies; highly accurate pendulum-based clocks have very small arcs in order to minimize the circular error. Pendulum-based clocks can achieve outstanding accuracy. Even into the 20th century, pendulum-based clocks were reference time pieces in laboratories.

This is a contribution to the friends of mechanical clocks and displays the beauty of old clock designs in a perfect computer 3D animation on your iPhone. A great encapsulation of old technology working fully functional in your pocket size mobile smart device.
